Safer Recruitment 

Why attend this training day?

A key part of safeguarding is safer recruitment of staff and volunteers who will be working with the young people in your club.  The government's Working Together to Safeguarding Children guidelines requires that organisations have safer recruitment policies in place and these policies are reviewed regularly.

      them safer.

Who is it for?

Usually designated staff who have a responsibility for safeguarding (DSPs) and/or those whose primary role is recruitment staff and volunteers. 

This training is compliant with Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) Standards and meets the requirements of Working_Together_to_Safeguard_Children 2015  (download pdf document) . The course has been revised to include bespoke information relevant to organisations in the community sports and activity sector.
