Why attend this training?

This is a specialist safeguarding course bespoke for community sports and activity clubs. 

Who is it for?

All staff with specific safeguarding responsibilities.  This training event will enable managers, designated safeguarding leads, child protection officers to further develop their child protection and safeguarding knowledge.

Learning outcomes by the end of the training:

Drawing (18)  improved understanding of the designated persons role
Drawing (18)  practical suggestions on how to create safer organisations
Drawing (18)  understand the core tasks and responsibilities of designated person’s role
Drawing (18)  know the relevant procedural and legislative framework within which agencies must operate,
      including individual and joint roles and responsibilities at each stage of the child protection process
Drawing (18)  improve communication with children and young people
Drawing (18)  access to ongoing support and networking
Drawing (18)  guidance on any specific problems
Drawing (18)  certificate on completion of the course

This training is compliant with Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) Standards and meets the requirements of Working_Together_to_Safeguard_Children 2015  (download pdf document) . The course has been revised to include bespoke information relevant to organisations in the community sports and activity sector.
